POSITION SUMMARY

Within the commercial team of the line, you have to contribute to the optimization of the business activity by studying the new services and realizing specified marketing analyses. You are also involved in the operational daily work of managing the network of agencies on your zone and optimizing the occupancy rates on your vessels.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Within the commercial line and in collaboration with the area manager, you have to define the strategy and the commercial policy of the new services. Therefore, you have to realize several marketing and competitive analysis as well as market analyses and all other types of researches (current situation of competitors, product studies, seasonal availability of products etc.).

You have to coordinate and supervise the network of local agents located in a determined area and to animate these agencies for being able to assure the loading capacity of the existing services. In your areas, you implement the trade and pricing policy in a specific area and deal with quote requests from both, agents and clients.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Currently preparing a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, you have acquired a first experience in business development and you ideally have a good knowledge of the shipping sector that allows you to be rapidly operational and proactive. You have a real analytical capacity and you are both, reactive and creative. You are able to establish good relations with your contacts in France and abroad. You are perfectly fluent in English and you have good command of computer and Office tools (especially Excel).
